“Yes I am faithful. I trust and believe in God with all my heart and soul, but yet, it doesn’t make me invincible to natural human emotions.”
I pray each day for our world that’s filled with so much negativity right now, like the shadow of gloom just hovering over us all. I know for sure the Lord is control, but yet my heart is troubled. My heart is troubled by the mindset and the actions of humanity where God is concern in this trying times. It seems like there’s more unfaithful than faithful. And those who are faithful their faith is beginning to waver.
I wish my faith to be strong enough to cover everyone, especially those who feels a sense of hopelessness and fear. This is truly a test of our mental stability as well as our faithfulness. Can we stand? Yes we can, if we’d focus on all the good to keep us pressing forward. Yesterday is gone, but thank God we have today.
I had to allow my heart and my mind to be still, not watching the news for a few weeks. Overloaded by so much sad and bad things going on in the world I had to keep my mind fixated on the things above, heavenly things that brings about peace.
I decided to fast and pray for a few days as I was traveling with my husband a truck driver, and as usual something about the drive always makes me fall asleep on him instead of being his co-pilot, as I’d sat in the passenger seat. But for the very first time as I slept, there stood before me was an angel glowing ever so brightly it illuminated the entire truck and woke me up. It was a dark rainy gloomy day, but I woke up to a clear beautiful sunny day. After a few minutes of being startled by the whole ordeal I fell back to sleep again and there he was this time with a shield in his hand and he began to spin it and spin it very fast and like the blades of a fan I could have felt the wind radiating from it and once again I jump up out of a deep sleep. When I woke up I wanted desperately to share with my husband my vision, but I didn’t. I waited much later that day before I told him for some strange reason I felt like he saw something also or even felt something and was not saying. I felt like he was glancing at me every so often as I was asleep. I am the kind of person if you look at me, I can feel it and then I will look back at you like a reflex. And if you steer at me, I can feel it in my spirit, I would immediately be drawn to you.
Now today all I could envision in my mind is knocking on the doors of heaven and the gate has begun to open slowly. My knocking is my prayers as I cried out to Jesus about the unrest in the world today, please can he get his suitcase packed and be on the next flight as soon as possible, we need him like yesterday. Something is happening out of the control of man and it is scary, not a force we can deal with. Terrifying, but we got to keep the faith in Him as we were prepared all these centuries. The last days as it is called the final battle between good and evil. It may feel like the devil is rising up in power. The angels of God are standing with those who cry out to the Lord in faith for deliverance. Everyone has to keep praying on in faith until it passes.
After seeing the angel I feel so different, in a good way. I can finally take hold of my emotions and not let it control me through fervent prayers and supplication unto God. His door is never shut nor His throne unapproachable.
Possessing true faith require certain characteristics: integrity, honesty, compassion, respectfulness and humility, just to name a few. It also requires action and not just what man wants to see, like a bumper sticker, going to church, a cross around your neck or even a bible in your possession. But action in what is said and done, proven to be like what is written in the word of God, especially according to his commandments. Remember man can be so ever so decieving.
The only true leader or royalty for us all is Jesus, because he loves us unconditional. Knowing that man is flawed, having strength and weakness, until Jesus returns we can’t trust that any man here on earth is capable of fulfil the true righteousness of God to lead us, we are always going to have problems with likes and dislikes. So anyone we chose, it is our duty to pray God cover them in His righteousness to lead through the power of the Holy spirit. Man will just be man without the intervention of God’s power working through them.
According to Ecclesiastes 3 there’s a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. In today’s world we’re in a time of selfishness and greed, even for those who as Christians, who should know better when following Jesus. We all have to be our brothers and sisters keeper.
When I look at the effect of the pandemic on the world. I can’t help think of all the people who refuse to follow the rules of protection, especially for the safety of others, like wearing the masks, washing there hands or not gathering in big crowds to protect others from this deadly disease. Simple and easy tasks that is required of us all for protections. It is ignorance and disobedience that has us now in a losing battle against the pandemic. This is the second wave and more lives are going to be lost. This is not a conspiracy theory, but true fact that covid-19 is real and killing people.
I speak about greed, because people only want to be ignorant of covid-19 due to their money making desires that are being hindered by the pandemic. Many businesses are now closing, people have lost there jobs due to the pandemic. Money is needed for everything in this world and without it, people can’t see themselves surviving. The poor is getting poorer and the rich is getting richer. Not all rich people who are millionaires or billionaires in this crisis is concerned about those less fortunate. Some are caught up still in working to make even trillions, this to me is greed. The reason why no one has been able to come up with a vaccine that works is the rush for money. The thought of the wealth it will bring to the one or country who will discover the vaccine is what holding back humanity from the wisdom and knowledge. When it comes to health and well being of humanity it should be priceless.
GREED: Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters…You cannot serve both God and money.” 1Timothy 6:17-18 “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
We are all created in the image of God. The image is not of the flesh, but the spirit that’s within each and everyone of us.I am the first, I am Eve, I am woman; created to continue life of man.
I am woman, I am the fertile ground to receive the seed for it to grow. I am the reflection of the universe.
My first love, my God, my spouse, and lover of all souls. It is through your unconditional love that humanity was given another chance to be redeemed.Womb-man, “woman” man with a womb. The womb is a sacred place where God’s hands like the potter shapes man.
Taken from the rib of a man, formed by the hands of God, as a suitable helper and companion for each other. Woman, man as one.
The light is drawing us in even from this picture, because of all the darkness in the room. No one wants to be in the dark. I do believe that even in the light metaphorically we are still in darkness. The light (eyesight) we are limited so when in darkness light draws us to it and that light is God, the unlimited light.
The darkness in the room is like being without faith in the world and the door open with the light is the invitation for us to walk in. How many of us rather stay in the darkness rather than to walk into the light? Darkness is never safe unless you have faith. Faith becomes not only our light, but our sight.
I was just thinking how much the flesh is so weak, it lead us into temptation. The thought of Jesus knowing and understanding that about us, I feel like I have nothing to fear, but to continue in faith because no matter what, everything is going to be alright.
Ephesians 2:8 ” For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” For it is the grace mixed with faith that’s going to help us make it through. Grace is God working it out for us, doing His part for our salvation and faith is us (man) working it for ourselves believing God is able and us doing our part also.
Matthew 16:24-26 Then Jesus told his disciples, “if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
Jesus who came to die for our sins (salvation), tells us to deny ourselves take up our cross and follow him. Isn’t this ironic? Jesus is boldly telling us we have an responsibility along with him to our salvation. Notice he didn’t mention he was going to carry our cross for us. We were told to carry it for ourselves.
He spoke about being afraid of dying, death to the worldliness, but to live according to the will of the Father, when he says not to save your life or you’ll lose it and in losing it for him you’ll find it. And finding it means everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death. Why then would you want save your life to live in constant sin, rather than to lose it for righteousness and live forever?
Crosses belongs to the world and being in the world we all have crosses to carry. But God’s kingdom which has come through Jesus the cross is the key to the kingdom.
Where’s the euphoria and the crazy desire to be in the presence of the one you love. Where did our love go? And I am not talking about the love between each other, but the love for our Lord. Putting God first allows all other things to be added to our lives. We shall not be in need or want for anything, Matthew 6:33
I could remember being very afraid as a Sunday school child to do anything that could lead to being disobedient to God. Most of all the thought of going hell was terrifying. I was so afraid of the consequences of my actions, so I’d try to live by every commandment and rules of the bible. Matthew 22:36-39 The greatest commandment is love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbors as yourself. If I’d fail at any of the Lord’s ten commandments, His greatest I felt was too easy to not accomplish.
I can see in the world today how much the love for God had gone cold. How has it gone cold you ask? We are lover’s of ourselves and have a form of godliness. So many of us walk a good walk and talk a good talk but we are hopelessly lost souls. What we fail to realize, to love God is to love oneself and like a trickling affect that moves the love touches everything and everyone around you, that even when things are bad you can’t see it or feel it, you’re in the light.
When the love for God is gone, we suffer ourselves unnecessary by being filled with selfishness which leads to greed, bitterness, hate, pride nothing but darkness.
Saul is after the shepherd boy David with s spear.
Saul the first king of Israel fell from grace through his disobedience to God. 1 Samuel 15:3 Saul was to completely destroy everything and anything associated with the Amalekites and he didn’t. He kept what was good and even kept their king alive. Samuel the prophet confronted Saul and told him the Lord has rejected him as king for his disobedience.1 Samuel 15:22-23.
God send Samuel to Bethlehem to the house of Jesse where he has chosen the one of his eight sons to be king. David a young shepherd boy was chosen by God to be Saul’s successor. Not his brothers who had looked the part, a young and ordinary but faithful son, David. For this reason God says that David is a man after his own heart, 1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22.
1Samuel 16:14 ” Now the spirit of the Lord had depart from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him.” This just goes to show that God control the evil as well as the good. Saul servant suggested to him to find someone who can play the lyre when the evil spirit from God comes on him it will make him feel better. One of his servant recommended David Jesse son from Bethlehem and he sent and ask Jesse for David. David served Saul and he liked him very much, made him one of his armor-bearers. David remained with Saul and whenever the evil spirit from God come upon Saul David would play the lyre and Saul would feel relief and the evil spirit would leave him. The playing of the lyre is very important to Saul. When he was first anointed by Samuel and was on his way back home Samuel told him he was going to meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels, pipes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying and he also will prophesy with them, 1Samuel 10:5-6.
If you don’t know the story of how David and Saul began an relationship with each other this is how it all began. Saul had no idea at the time this young shepherd boy David was going to be his rival as king even before David killed the Philistines giant Goliath. David was already anointed by Samuel. It was only after David killed Goliath and began killing more enemies on the battle field than Saul, when the people sang and dancing about David’s victory, 1Samuel 18: 7-14. Jealousy and resentment toward David arose in Saul, he felt David was after his kingdom next. The spirit of God had left Saul completely only the evil spirit was left that tormented him and he got worst, not even the playing of the lyre helped. It got so bad David had to run and hide to save himself from Saul trying to kill.
I couldn’t understand why would God have allowed Saul to be tormented by an evil spirit and then to torment David, his chosen? In the book of Job God had given the devil permission to go after Job also his chosen and a man after his own heart. Then I thought about Joseph with the coat of many colours who had a dream and I remember what he also like David endured, it worked out for their good. Reason being the Lord was with these men because of their love and faith in him regardless of their circumstances they waited on and trust God for their salvation. Saul became like Adam and Eve, disobedience to God cost him everything and like Job 1:21 said, “The Lord give and the Lord has taken away.”
1Samuel 10:6-7 The spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.
