“Why Lord?”

As a child of God I’ve always believed in speaking the truth and being honest, especially to God. It was January 6, 2021 when all that I believed in as a child of God that should prevail in the representation of the goodness of God in humanity was ripped apart within my soul when I saw the insurrection on the Capital of the United States. It didn’t end there, the then out going president refused to concede and have a peaceful transfer of power. I watched the television in tears as the new in coming president was left without the respect of the former president in keeping of the tradition of a peaceful transfer. He wasn’t invited to the Whitehouse neither on the day of the inauguration in for tea. From that day I felt in my spirit it wasn’t a good sign; this was not going to be good, and things were going to change drastically for all humanity as we known it. The world was watching just as I, but I cried, pouring out my soul to God. What echoed in my spirit was all the people who were injured mentally, physically, emotionally and died, on January 6, 2021 insurrection and let’s not also forget the calling to hang the Vice president.

“Chaos, nothing but chaos, and the entire world started mimicking all that happened on that most heart wrenching day, for those who have eyes to see can understand the influence America has on all nations, till other leaders started to act like the former president. Everything representation of Jesus was removed and like the Antichrist (not Christ like) was now its replacement. So for me love was replaced by hate, revenge and animosity, no compassion, no forgiveness, no mercy, and as for godliness: a form, a pretence not a true reverence or fear of the almighty, we’re in trouble, serious trouble. And now like a domino effect since the year 2021 America consequences for not being able to keep law and order domestically because has fallen as the most powerful influential nation in the world. For all the calamity, division, and devilishness that has taken place in America between the political atmosphere, America has fallen as the representative of God and being united, I honestly believe. And it has nothing to do with abortion, or sexual orientation…but the representation of being Christ like.

Yes the incoming president is chosen by God for such a time like this the lawlessness of the world and the complete disregard to the teachings of Christ. The fact that all this evil has taken place by the incoming president and he seems to be untouchable for prosecution for his crimes, the real judgement will come from the God for all the world to see. God had closed day the door on this former president for a reason, but being the God he is, ask and you shall receive so the people asked so now they got what they wanted. I believe that the Lord saw the great desire of certain people that they were willing like the day of the insurrection to sell their soul to the devil for what they want and commit a catastrophe worst than January 6, 2021 to the nation.

When the results of election 2024 had taken place I found my prostrate before my alter in tears crying out to Lord, “why would he allow this, what about the children, what lesson is this going to teach them? You can break the laws with no consequences? You can do whatever you want and get away with it? Then why am I trying so hard to follow and respect the laws, especially your commandment, when today obviously no one doesn’t care about it.” The degree of lawlessness is rampant and I feel like a square peg try to fit in a round hole when trying to survive. this life. Not being afraid to die, I prayed that God would take me sooner than later, because I don’t want to live in a lawless world. I love order and peace, not chaos, lawlessness and I definitely abhor ungodliness. But this is the world we’re living in today.

So I prayed for Jesus to please hurry and come. I heard the voice of God respond to my cry. I was told to look up in the Bible the story of the bronze snake and what it represents, Numbers 21:4-9. The incoming president is the symbol of the Lord’s judgement on the nation. We the people choose those to rule over us who are just like us. Remember when the Israelites instead of God wanted an earthy king and God answered by anointing Saul to be the first king, 1 Samuel 8. Have we ever desired in our hearts any leaders with the likes of Jesus to rule over us? No! We want who we can identify with and who says the things we want to hear, the blind leading the blind. I get it, this is for us to see God’s strength, his power, will, purpose and control will stand regardless of man thinking we’re in control without him. I understand this is what we call upon ourselves whenever we’re drift away, far away from God. How well learnt are we? Has sin so incapacitated us that we have lost sight of the will and purpose of God for humanity and like Satan moved on to our own agendas. We can change all we want, but note God is unchangeable and we got to stick to His plan, not ours.

On this inauguration day my soul still quivers because I know trial and tribulations is to come like never before, is about to take place in our world. And I am completely walking in faith and not by sight trusting God’s will be done. “Help my unfaithfulness please, whenever my faith starts to falter my God, my Lord and redeemer. I trust you, but I struggles with man, and his intentions. I prayer Lord, may your continued mercy be upon all us wretched sinners.

Anytime lawlessness abounds, God has a plan. And everything is set in motion according to his plan for our world. There are too many faithful saints in our world, for evil to prevail without a purpose I was told. Our only salvation comes from God and God alone.

Change, it costs!

Desperation for change can be costly. And without change, many of us can find ourselves in a difficult situation/predicament, so change can be necessary to get out. Change can be profitable, desirable, and at times a necessity…positive or negative, all depending on how it moves us forward. It derives from how we are re-evaluating the circumstances and situations in our lives. But we can be blindsided by our determination, desire and actions we’re willing to take for betterment in our lives which is mostly predicated on finances, for our survival and wellbeing, or something selfish. And that very change we’re pleading for can come with conflicts, devastation, disruption and destruction of our norms, instead of the improvements to our lives as we so desire. Like a woman giving birth, with every contraction it’s closer to the final stage of birthing so change can be. We never stop to think, in our great desperation, what the consequences can be, weighing the pros and cons. We must think to ourselves, “is our health, wellbeing, the concerns for ourselves, others and the world we live in more than money, accolades and power and control?

The driving force behind change can never be simply because you have choices; choice for something or someone that sounds like a good idea. Change should be, because you don’t have any other alternative. If we didn’t have free will then Jesus’ birth on earth and all that he accomplished in us should have been sufficient for us to have changed from sinners to saints. No more living with this bondage of sin within us. We as human beings are resilient, if we set our minds upon a thing, especially in desperation, nothing can stop us. And when we had great reverence, faith and fear in God people got married and didn’t divorce back in the day like they do now. Commitment is what enables us to get through the storms knowing it shall pass, it’s enough that the storm is disruptive to the things on the outside, we mustn’t allow it to penetrate the inside also. Having many choices can only lead to greed, confusion, and or disruption. Queen Elizabeth reigned on the thrown for 70 years, no one could take her place and regardless things were good or bad she still remained and the people had no other choice but to accept the good times and the bad as she was still their Queen. No matter how bad things may get, it never lasts. Like going through the four seasons, we can’t choose the one we favour to begin with, we must go through the chronological stages and accept the change when it comes even if it’s not our favourite season. Sometimes we must look at life the same way. We must stop throwing in the towel just because we have a choice, instead of fighting to the end.

I believe the reason for sin being so dominant in our world today is because after Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, for some of us we are not desperate enough for that change to have affected us, we have too many choices. If it wasn’t for the free will of choice, Jesus would definitely be our only alternative, nothing and no one else would be.

Whenever we desire change without praying to the Lord, who is our salvation, provider…lover of our soul for what we so desire for in our lives, that he may send an angel or come himself, unknowingly sometimes we get exactly what we want, that change alright, because of our freedom to choose. And looking back in retrospect when all hell has broken loose in our lives then, and then alone, we realize, or should realize we got what we asked for, the change, especially when you had a quiet and peaceful life before. Believing anyone or anything besides God can be the answer to our problems as Children of God, is blasphemous. “Christian, we should know our faith always belongs to God, and God alone, first, as the answer to our prayers.” The devil is wicked enough to place himself as the answer to our prayers, looking at us as being so incredulous. He did it to Adam and Eve and yet, has never stopped trying, but Jesus came. We’ve got to acknowledge and understand God’s power in us, through Jesus to overcome the deception and lies of the devil.

Wanting change is good, but is it purposeful, or self-gratifying? Because self gratification only lasts so long before finding yourself lonely and empty. Purposeful: you don’t lay down to die when situations get hard, you’re called to destiny way beyond self. This makes for the understanding that what we desire sometimes, is not good enough for our soul; the reason it seems like God has turned a deaf ear to our prayers, really is him preventing us from a fall too hard for us to recover mentally and a brokenness that in the end we put the blame on Him.

If humanity can get the understanding our Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, Hebrews 13:8 If we’re in Christ, truly in Christ I believe change is not recognized or desired, it’s let it be and it is done moment. Change is a worldly concern. When God is all you need, nothing in the world is as relevant as people’s desires. You can live poor and still be rich, you can be sick and still healthy enough to be functional in society, blind, but see beyond darkness that there’s a real light in the world, deaf to world, but can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in your heart and mind, lame legs to stand in the natural world, but running towards the Father.

We must put our trust and faith in God whenever we decide change is a necessity for our lives. God should be at the centre of our choices for change.
