The anointing of God to lead

We can’t mistake conning, manipulation, and deception as wisdom. For discernment is needed in administering justice as a leader. 1 King 3:5-8, 9 The Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “ ask for whatever you want me to give you.” Solomon answered, “ your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

When we reverence and fear God, we know to lead in His strength, not our own. The only characteristics needed to be a strong and successful leader begin with obedience to God in keeping His decrees and commandments. Through Him and in Him you’re given wisdom and a discerning heart. Pray always, be humble, love the Lord above all and thy neighbour as yourself, and have the genuine love for all humanity and God’s creation. You have to walk in oneness with the Lord, to have the eyes to see, the ears to hear, the mouth to speak and courage to fight like a warrior.

As I was reading about the wisdom of Solomon pertaining to his judgment on the two women who came to him concerning their babies, one alive, and one dead. Both claimed that the living baby was their own and that the other woman was only pretending to be the mother of the surviving infant, 1 King 3:16-28. To make a long story short, one woman accidentally killed her child and took the other woman’s, claiming the child was her own. They argued back and forth that the dead baby belongs to the other in the presence of the King who decided to cut the child in half and give each of them a part. The real mother of the baby cried out not to kill the baby, she loved him too much, so just give him to the other woman. The other woman shouted to go ahead and cut the baby in half, neither of them should have the baby. Solomon was able to discern the real mother who was willing to sacrifice her child, showing such selfless act to spare the life of the baby she loves so much.

This was an enlightening moment for me reflecting upon the actions of both women and King Solomon in the view of the world we’re living in today. Solomon in his infinite wisdom through God and in Him has shown me the power of God working through him. I saw him as having an added touch of God in him besides the spirit within and all his wealth. I’ve realized that we are God’s vessel and like Solomon, He’s able to fill you up with His strength and power to do the work you’re called to do. Solomon was born and called to lead. Today some people get involved with leadership for power, control…self interest. Solomon like Jesus at that moment has proven when Jesus had said to see me is to see the Father.

We praise Solomon for the wisdom, when it is God’s power working through him. Solomon at that time was so close and connected to God’s mind, body and soul. But like many of us we all know how the story ends, once his focus was taken off his relationship with God, and turned to the things of the world beginning with his wives. Like Adam and Eve tempted by the forbidden fruit in which he ate, sex. He stepped outside his continual presence, and strong relationships with the Almighty and focus on the lust and temptations of the world which through sex with his wives contaminated his soul. Now becoming infectious with sin falling short like his father David over lust, and temptations. Like sex, that intimacy, he once had with God alone was replaced with all his wives leaving him vulnerable to sin as his father David with Bathsheba his mother, 2 Samuel 11.

The two women represent the world we’re living in today; the battle between good (the righteousness of God) and evil (sin within us). Like Solomon, the women came before his presence in judgment so are we before God in His judgement towards us, who judges us wisely in all truth, honesty, and righteousness, not as man does. God is a reader of our hearts and our minds; able to discern our truth from our lies, Jeremiah 17:10.

The woman to whom was willing to sacrifice her child by giving him up, allowing him to have life is considered one of Gods own, because of her unconditional love and selfless act; He’s her shepherd. Scriptures declare that God the Shepherd says, His sheep hears His voice and I know them and they follow me…John 10:27-28. Would you be willing like this woman to make such a sacrifice and be able to stand boldly and declare you are a child of God? We spoke of Abraham for shadowing God in his willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac, but no one speaks of this woman like Mother Mary, the mother of Jesus whom also give up her son, Jesus.

The other woman, I referred to as the spawn of Satan to be so deceptive and cruel. Deceptive in taking the other woman’s baby after hers died and placing it next to her, having the audacity to say cut the baby in half so neither of them would have a baby, 1 King 3:26. It’s not rocket science to figure out who this woman belongs to. She showed herself to be selfish, envious, jealous…definitely not a child of God. Does your conduct and actions say like this woman you belong to Satan? Are you showing signs in your words and actions that you’re a child of God, following Jesus, and willing to sacrifice for the good? Or like your father the devil, are you willing to murder for your own selfish needs? Remember the wages of sin is death, so choose life, life eternal which is found in Christ Jesus. Are you for Him or against? Then let your actions speak louder than words, then make the sacrifice.

If you can only see evil for good and can justify it, I pray for you. Pray like you never prayed before for discernment and deliverance out of the hand of the enemy disguising evil for good as the righteousness of God. The Word, the Word needs to be your sword of your spirit, fight! Pray for an encounter with the Lord, that you couldn’t explain to man that make you so faithful in trusting Him like Saul, whose name was changed to Paul, Luke 22:31.

It’s fearful to me that in our world today, so many people would side with the woman who side to kill the baby so both of them would have no child. There are people who would believe her action as justifiable, saying at least she’s telling the truth. They believe in doing what it takes to be the victor and not the loser. They would claim she showed strength and courage in standing up for what she wants…etc. Lord have mercy on us! The thought that anyone could believe God would condone such action as good and righteous for us to all follow is incredibly misleading.

In the world today so many of us are misguided by the evil influences we’re calling good and righteousness of God.
