The throne

Many of us have the idea of being on the throne comes before the cross. The cross is the work we need to accomplish before we can be seated. The cross humbles and prepares us for a seat next to Jesus in heaven, the throne belongs to God.

Once we realize Matthew 16:24-26 “Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus” our sacrifices enables us to be rulers in the kingdom. We rule not of our own will or authority, but we rule through the power of God.

The throne belongs to God. God is always the one in control seated on the throne and we must understand our ruling comes from God. Repeat this after me, “to see me, is to see the Father, the Father and I are one.” When we acknowledge this we understand no power or strength we have of our own without God.

God stands only when he creates and disciplines; in other words when he works. He’s seated when governing, blessing and listening.

Eternity is not only about life after death, but legacy

When we think about eternity especially as Christians we think of a life in heaven with God after we pass on. That life in heaven is not going to be the same as it was on earth. Who we are as an individual on earth, remains here for eternity after we’ve passed on. When you’d be looked up on ancestry and history, what do you want to be remembered for?

Legacy can be a blessing or a curse. It can tear down or build up. We all like the positive aspect of everything, all the more reason to be mindful of our actions and the result it can have on our legacy after we’ve passed on.

Eternity of our existence begins from the day we were born especially when recorded. No one will ever be another you. You will always be unique and for this reason, eternity for you will be on earth, but also in heaven as a new and purified you. Your existence has been written in the book of life and the Lord knows who you are both in heaven as well on earth for all eternity.
