Why so much elderly has passed away from covid-19? Is it really the long term care facilities fault? Should money really contribute to the kind of care recieve from these centers? If so why has all the cases of covid-19 regardless of the facilities wealthy or not has killed and is killing our elderly?

Can’t help but ask the Lord this question, after losing my dad just six days ago. My heart is sorrowful and my mind overwhelmed. I pray my dad is at peace under the circumstances, of not being able to see me because of covid-19 band on visitors and his birthday just past also. The thought of him being alone, I have to keep remembering as scriptures declares, “he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8. Psalm 27:10 “When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.” In other words, if you find yourself alone, the Lord is always going to be with you so you’re not ever alone.

What is the reason for the elderly dying? They are dying for the lack of unconditional love, nurturing love from loved ones. Like a baby, the kind of love it gets from its parents. The more fragile and vulnerable you are, it is love that give strength and could heal. I say this because their are some older people that I know is alive and well because they are not in a facility, but living with loved ones, like my ninety-two years old God mother, I pray God will continue to keep her.

We know a lot of the elderly has medical problems that only a facility can help with. In today world where making that mighty dollar takes precedence, many people can’t afford to be at home looking after their loved ones.
