For the month of May 2020, I would be in prayer and meditation of the Holy Rosary. I was summoned in my spirit after fasting and praying for forty days.
The first Glorious Mystery: Is the resurrection. Three days after Jesus’s death he rose from death. As I mediated on the Glorious Mystery, I can’t help but think about the importance of the resurrection to our lives. It is the victory won for man, because wages of sin is death and Jesus took on our sin that we may have life and have it abundantly, for all eternity.
Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension. Forty days after Jesus’s resurrection he was ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Third Glorious Mystery: Descent of the Holy spirit. The day of Pentecost, the mighty rushing wind sound came from heaven and tongues of fire fell on them and they all filled with the Holy Spirit spoke in other tongues in the upper room.
Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption. Mary is assumed to be taken up into heaven like Elijah to be with her son. The Fifth Glorious Mystery: The Coronation of Mary. Mary was crown by her son in heaven.
The Glorious Mystery is my favorite prayer and meditation of the Rosary because it’s give clarity of the importance of Mary in God’s plan concerning the salvation of man. After giving birth to Jesus she was just pushed aside. Being Highly favored wasn’t just her give birth, but also participating in every aspect of Jesus life on earth as well as in heaven. The Glorious Mystery allows us to recognize the strong bond between Mary and Jesus that not only did Jesus lifted his disciples and the world, but also his mother.
