I mediated today on the sorrowful myster, “The crucifixion” The first sorrowful mystery: Agony in the garden. I’ve pictured Jesus pleading with his three disciples to keep watch with him one hour and they kept falling asleep, leaving him all alone with no support. It’s not their fault, as Jesus said, “The spirit is willing but the flesh is week.” Matthew 26:40-43 This was the first time Jesus had asked of man anything. All the time it was him that was doing all the giving, not once did he desire anything from them, but to watch and pray not to fall into temptation like Adam and Eve. Our vulunerability is when we are not able to stand, but instead we fall into our weaknesses. To me it was a test for being with him so long that they couldn’t pass. It was from then on grace was in the works for humanity until the completion of the cross.
The second sorrowful mystery: scourging at the pillar. Jesus was cruelly beaten. The third sorrowful mystery: crown with thorns. Fourth sorrowful mystery: the carrying of the cross and the fifth sorrowful mystery: the crucifixion and death.
The sorrowful mystery is like the tree of life that destroy the power of the tree of good and evil. And it’s a seed that will continue to bring forth fruits and it’s fruit will continue forever. And it is done with the help and intercession of the Blessed Mother Mary favored(called) by God. It is Jesus!
