Jesus is in the grave, the core of the earth

Good Friday was yesterday, so today I am imagining what Jesus is doing in the grave (core of the earth). “Dust to dust, and ashes to ashes, as was said in times of old concerning death, that we were return form where we came, Genesis 2:7.

Jesus being in the core of the earth is to give light to the darkness that man endured because of sin. He went down to conquer the powers and principalities, rulers of darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, according to Paul in, Ephesians 6:12. Paul stipulates it’s not the flesh and blood that we wrestle against, but powers and principalities. We all know the story, Paul was changed from being a murderer of Christian, to now a soldier of the Lord. When on the way to Damascus to persecute innocent Christians, Paul was thrown off his horse by a great light, Acts 9. His revelation about the powers and principalities may have given to him by the Holy Spirit, or Paul was describing what it felt like for him to be possessed when going after God’s innocent people to murder them. Jesus being in the core of the earth (grave) on behalf of all humanity to overcome the works of devil responsible for all the evil in the world. I visualize it as being I court and God is the Judge, Jesus our persecutor and devil the defendant. With God and Jesus combined together in the court, well the devil doesn’t have a chance.

The fight isn’t that of a human, it is a spiritual one. And it is going on right now with the devil and all who’s on his side. It required that Jesus the man, to lay down his body (flesh) to stand in God (divinity) but yet fighting for and in the flesh, for all who are alive to survive and continue living, with the guidance and protection, in the will of the Father.

Jesus came to us so passively, with love, compassion, mercy and all humility. It’s hard to picture him a warrior. His biggest fight to me, was to cloth himself in humanity and to have taken the fight for our salvation in the flesh. But through the spirit (divinity) overcome the powers and principalities through death. Why is death so important? It is important because it is the results of sin.

Jesus is restoring the energy of the earth to its original state, before sin. The powers and principalities is the first to be overcome in the grave(core). Right now I could imagine Jesus working together with all the angels who has come to earth for him and to help him in the grave (core) of the earth to complete his task. Sin had brought about so much bad in the world that didn’t only affect humanity, but everything in the earth also. Jesus work is working none stop for restoration.
