Conviction of the Holy

With everything that is going on in the world today the pouring out of the Holy Spirit is upon us saints of God. It is Holy season (Lent) for some Christian whereby we should be fasting and praying or giving up something as a sacrifice for this Holy season. We should be on our knees praying so we can recieve the instructions from the Lord in this storm, and also to be prepared for when the dust settles. Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

The coronavirus outbreak has taken over every aspect of our lives right now, but let us not give into it having dominion over our faith, to put it on the back burner. Faith has to dominate in times of crisis. When all has failed and hopelessness set in our mind there is a God and according to Ephesians 3:20 ” He’s able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”

As Jesus was in the garden of Gethsamane in Matthew 26:36-46 he took three of his disciples with him and said to them his soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. As I was fasting and praying, one day as I was washing the dishes standing at the kitchen sink, praying about what’s going on in th world then conviction of the Holy spirit hit me, and right there and then I dropped the sponge and dish in my hand and fell to my knees as the warm tears rolled down my cheeks, I lifted my hands up said, “Lord have mercy, have mercy on us sinners.” I prayed for forgiveness for all sins of the world, till the tears dried on my face and I felt peace, just peace. Peace for myself and my family and peace for the entire world. It was only when it was over I realised thank God that no members of my family witness me like that, they would of been very concerned. That moment for me was like being in my closet, be alone with God, Matthew 6:6. I felt like the world was upon my shoulders and only through prayers the weight was lifted.
